Robert Dilts je ustvarjalec, avtor, trener in svetovalec na področju Nevro-Lingvističnega Programiranja (NLP), modela človeškega vedenja, učenja in komunikacije, že od leta 1975, ko sta NLP ustvarila John Grinder in Richard Bandler. Dilts kot dolgoletni učenec in kolega Grindera in Bandlera je osebno sodeloval tudi z Miltonom Ericksonom in Gregory-em Batesonom. V želji, da bi NLP razširili na področje izobraževanja, kreativnosti, zdravja in vodenja, njegov osebni prispevek področju NLP vključuje NLP tehnike s področja Strategij in Sistema prepričanj, ter razvoja, ki je postalo znano kot Sistematični NLP.
